Industry Visit by GMA members

A 15 member team of the Guwahati Management Assn. visited SITAJAKHALA Dugdha Udpadak Samabay Samity Ltd , a very well known milk producers society, located 60 km east of Guwahati.

Sri P K Rai, the Managing Director of the Society welcomed the members and elaborated the history as well as present activities of this organisation functioning in the cooperative sector .

The Society was formed and registered way back in 1959 to embrace milk producers of a number of villages of the area under a common platform . Currently , the Society has more than 1000 members benefiting about 6000 farming families.. At present they collect 18000/- to 20000/- litre of strictly cow milk per day. The Society recently started its’ own pasteurization and packaging plant which was also visited by the GMA team.
