Initiating the meeting , Shri B. Hazarika, Hony.Gen.Secy., GMA explained the purpose of the meeting and also the background of the two renowned speakers. Shri S.B. Sarmah, President GMA welcomed both the speakers with a short speech.

Dr. N.C. Bora was felicitated on the occasion of his achieving the mile stone of his 70th birthday , with a citation presented by GMA Director Mr.Parag Phukan followed by Dr.Bora whogave an interesting speech about his social and philanthropic activities.

Next Mr.M.K. Sharma , member GMA and CMD ,Trusses & Towers Pvt.Ltd. Guwahati which is an industrial company of the region based at Amingaon , Guwahati shared his flying experience as a pilot and how he groomed the Guwahati based Assam Flying Club. Also, he explained the basic theories about flying vis-a-vis cockpit preparations of an aircraft take off , on flight monitoring and subsequent landing . All members present were very much appreciative as it was an interesting experience for them , listening to Mr Sarma.
