The seminar comprised of the inaugural and two plenary sessions. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. D N Barua , President of GMA while the keynote address was delivered by Dr B K Das through presentation of a road map for planning industries in this region and emphasis on the need to keep in mind the environmental aspect also . The first plenary session was presided over by Mr Shantikam Hazarika who is a renowned management mentor. Mr Dipak Chakravarty, Member, Assam Power Regulatory Commission & former MD of NRL, gave the theme address on the overall manufacturing scenario including investment in this region. In the second plenary session which was presided over by Mr Swapnanil Barua IAS(Retd) and formerly Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Dept., Govt. of Assam, Mr S Bhattacharya former M D of NERAMAC and Mr Khanin Das, Sr Agri Officer ( Horticulture ) Govt. of Assam spoke about possibilities of Agri. and forest based industries.
