Awareness-cum Outreach Program held on 7th March 2015 in NEDFI, Guwahati for promotion of Science & Technology entrepreneurship

On 7th March 2015, a day long program on awareness-cum outreach Program was organized in the Auditorium of NEDFI with the objective to promote Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship in North East. With a view to promote entrepreneurship as an alternative career for the prospective Science graduates and Diploma holders, the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board(NSTEDB) has taken thisinitiative. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India is the implementing body.
The program was organized by GMA in collaboration with EDI.The guests who graced this occasion to deliver their valuable inputs are-M.Haque,Chancellor, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, MrSwapnanilBarua,IAS-Commissioner Of Industries and Managing Director of AIDC, Mr Rajiv Kumar Bora, IAS, Addl.Chief Secretary S& T Govt. Of Assam(Chief Guest),S.B.Sareen,Project Director and Member Secretary,DST-NIMAT Project of EDI.
Mr Digen Baruah,President GMA has delivered the welcome address.Around 100 participants took part in this program.MrSwapnanilBaruah,MrHaque,MrSareen.MrRajiv Borah have delivered their valuable real time speeches on the topic with their own perspective.
Two thought-provoking presentations were given by Mr R.K Barman, from Dept. of Science & Technology Govt. of Assam and Mr S.B.Sareen of EDI.
The post Lunch session started with Mr P.K.Saikia, Addl. Director,Dept. of Industries, who spoke on-schemes of Assistance for Entrepreneurs in Assam.Next Speaker, Mr S.Mallikarjun,GM-SIDBIe spoke on FINANCIAL Schemes of Assistance for Entrepreneurs.There was open House discussion after which the Valedictory session was taken by Mr K.Ahmed,Project Advisor,i-STED Project,EDI.He stressed on sending the recommendations to the Dept. of Science and Technology for successful implementation of this project.TheVote of thanks was given by AN N I Laskar,Director, GMA.
