Discussion on Management held on 23rd January, 2012

Guwahati Management Association organized a discussion on Management on January 23rd with the renowned management guru Prof. N.S. Ramaswamay, Founder Director IIM-Bangalore, at down town hospital auditorium here, started press release.

Prof. N.S. Ramaswamay spoke about the problems affecting the world today and highlighted the need to inculcate the Indian way in management by stressing on ethical and moral values, spirituality and Vedanta philosophy. He stressed the synchronization of body mind and soul for a balanced and well-managed life.

He also dwelt on the need to have harmony within self, which is so essential to lead a happy modern life. He gave numerous examples to the audience about the need of harmony, in his own eloquent way along with a dash of honour.

Dr. K. Ramadas, Director of IIBS, Bangalore. highlighted the need to live life with positive attitude, in spite of all the negative environment around. He emphasized on value-based management in our daily lives to improve the environment around us. Mr. Prem Saran, Addl. Principal Secretary, Govt. of Assam and Mr. S. Choudhury, Dean of school of management down town University also spoke on the subject

Mr. D.N. Barua, the president of Guwahati Management Association (GMA), who thanked the eminent personalities for sharing their wisdom with the audience. The audience comprised of the senior members of GMA, senior government officials, faculties and students of different management institutes of Guwahati and staff and students of Down Town University.
