DEBATING COMPETITION: GUWAHATI JUNE 23 2012
Guwahati Management Association (GMA) the only organization in N E region which has been providing opportunity for the youths to learn skill in modern management during past few decades in global perspective and recipient of the Award "The Best Emerging Management Association in the country-2010-11" has organized a Debating Competition in Royal Group Institutions, Betkuch, Guwahati on the Motion of the House-
"In Today's Context, Industrialisation is the Panacea for Development of North East".
Thereare all together 14teams of leading Academic/Management Institutes of Guwahati took partIn the debate. Col(Retd) M.Goswami conducted the debate as Speaker. Apanel of Judges consisting of MrWashbirHussian, MrP.J.Boruahof Assam Tribune andMrH.Talukdar adjudgedthe following Prize winners.
Mr. D.N.Barua, President of GMA while welcoming all participants in debating copeititionstated the we witnessed today that the educated youth across the North East have a dream and aspiration for a better life for them, which was not there even 20 to 25 years before. Some of the youth who are leaving this region in search of better prospects outside NE Region are doing excellent work. But some of them are lacking the soft skills. The Chief Guest Mr. A K Panchariof Royal Group of Institutions spoke about necessities of Debating Competitions to improve their personalities.He further stated that in view of several educational institutions of national standard coming up recently in Assam, there is no need of students to go outside the state. Sri D N Barua President GMA distributed the Prize Money and Certificates of Participation to the prize winners. |
