Title: “Facing up to the Challenge of Change: Young Managers’ to Respond.”
Venue: Auditorium Hall of Assam down town University Campus, Panikhaiti, Guwahati.
Speaker: Dr. Tridip Chakraborty, Former Professor of IIM Calcutta.

Guwahati Management Association (GMA) organized a talk in jointly in association with Assam down town University (AdtU.)and Xavier Institute of Management & Information Technology(XIMIT), Guwahati. The Directors of GMA and he students, faculty members, and Principals of AdtU.
Dr. H. Goswami, Head, Institute of Management, AdtU presided over the meeting. He welcomed all the dignitaries and asked the students to participate and interact so as to benefit from the inputs of the talk.
The Speaker Dr. TridipChakrabortywas introduced by Mr. Amarjit Deb, Faculty member, Institute of Management, AdtU. The session was conducted by Dr. TridipChakraborti, Former Professor of IIM Calcutta and presently the Chief Management Consultant, Training Division, Indian Institute of Training & Development, Kolkata. Throughout the session, the speaker Dr. Chakraborti emphasized on the students to develop their positive attitude along with their knowledge and skill which will help them to be successful in their career. He cited various real life examples of Industries and cases which gave an insight of what the expectation is from the young professionals and asked the students to be practical in their approach to their profession and be good listeners. He further deliberated that the professionals should love their profession and the organization they are working for and be passionate to become successful in managing change effectively.
Sri. D. N. Barua, President, GMA stressed upon the need for innovation at the work place and adapt to the changes taking place within the environment. Sri Barua also added that professionals today need to be passionate, inquisitive and understand the requirements of the job to maximize their potential.
Sri. S. Anand, Vice President, GMA asked the students to stress on the concepts and think about the applications which will help them to apply their learning in the practical field successfully. He also thanked the speaker, organizers of the event i.eAdtU and XIMIT. The session was followed by lively interactions and discussions between the participants and the speaker. The session came to an end with a Vote of Thanks to the speaker and the participants.
