43rd Annual General Meeting of Guwahati Management Association

43rd AGM of Guwahati Management Association was held on 23rd Dec 2014 in Downtown Hospital Auditorium, Guwahati.
AGM elected Sri D N Barua as President for another term of two years and new team of GMA with the following members.
Vice President :Mr SubBrataSarma and Chiranjit Chaliha
Honary General Secretary :Dhireswar Gohain
Honary Joint Secretary ;MrTamal Sen
Honary Treasurer : Mukul Bora
New Directors are: P K Borthakur, Satinder Anand, O P Dahima ,B K Duari ,A N N I Lascar,K G Deb Krori, Anil Rai.

In the opening session, outgoing General secretary Mr. Sarma elaborated on the various activities undertaken by GMA in the year 2013 14 and the awards received from AIMA. After AGM session was over, an open session was held where Mr Swapnanil Barua, Commissioner, Industry& Commerce and MD AIDC was the Chief Guest and Mr Nausad Alam, Vice President Axis

Bank NE circle was the guest speaker.

In his speech, MD AIDC spoke at length about the bottlenecks faced in industrialization of State of Assam and explained how GMA can play positive role in it. Mr Alam from Axis bank explained the need of leadership skill development in all spheres of society. Mr Santikam Hazarika, Founder of Assam Institute of Management and Ex-president of GMA spoke about the present global economic scenario and how India is placed favourably in global economic forum and briefed about present management tools and techniques.

Mr D N Barua President GMA displayed the activities of GMA with power point presentation about the activities of GMA.

The session ended with Vote of Thanks from outgoing Vice President Mr Satinder Anand.
