Report of 42nd Annual General Meeting of Guwahati Management Association

The 42nd Annual General Meeting of Guwahati Management Association was held on 27th December in the premises of Hotel Rajmahal, Guwahati at 5:30 PM.Sri D N Barua President GMA welcomed the members.
Sri S B Sarmah, Hony General Secretary, presented the activities of GMA during the financial year 2012-13. He informed that GMA have been performing well for the last three years. He also informed that All India Management Association awarded the best LMA in Category IV for the year 2012 13 to GMA.
Sri Mukul Bora, Hony Treasurer, presented the audited balance sheet of GMA for the year 2012-13, which was passed by the house.
Sri Satinder Anand ,Vice President offered the vote of thanks.

Thereafter in the open session, MrJiteshKhosla I.A.S., Chief Secretary, Govt. of Assam was the Chief Guest who in his address emphasized the use principles of management in its true spirit in all activities of development. The attitude supported by knowledge of the job and culture team building are the main criteria of scientific management of project. He appreciated the activities of GMA in its effort to make youths and corporates aware of their responsibilities towards social development.

Mrs. Geetima Das Krishna, Vice President of Reliance Capital asset Management Company delivered the key note address on “Bumpy Brittle 2013 and outlook 2014.
She explained how uncertain was the economy during the year that gone by going no opportunity to prepare to fight the hazards of ups and down in the economy. She also analyzed the several economic indicators which might influence the outlook for the coming year. She advised corporates and trade bodies to be vigilant to handle their in-house programme. There was lively interaction – Sri R.S. Joshi, President FINER, Sri D. Gohain, Director of GMA and Sri AnujGoswami, Dy. GM of ASEB participated in the interactive session.

Sri D.N. Barua, president of GMA while welcoming the guest and members unfurled its programs for the new year and said that considering the need of the region, GMA shall give emphasis on two areas of the skill development amongst youths and two – the employment generation through MSME sector for which planning have been already on the board. At the end of the open session, Sri ManojSethia, Director, GMA offered the Vote of thanks
