The theme of this monthly meeting was interaction between different Govt. agencies entrusted with promoting MSME industries, so that policy framework can be reviewed and the facilities provided can be better utilized.
The chief guest for the meeting was MsShehlaRehman, Managing Director, Assam Small Scale Development Corporation. The other participants were Acting Director, MSME development Center Guwahati, Managing Director Assam Infrastructure Development Corporation, other officials from the state Govt. and some well-known industrialists. In the meeting MsRehman elaborated the activities of the A.S.I.D.C. &the facilities provided by it. The Acting Director, MSME Development Center explained about the new policies of the Govt. of India about to come into force, where big corporates will be forced to make lot of purchases from the MSME sector. He felt that this will be a huge fillip to the MSME sector of the Region. Few established industrialists expressed the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs and the way to improve upon them. Before the end of the meeting G M A President Mr D N Barua summed up the discussions. He had mentioned about new ways for motivating and mentoring entrepreneurs.
